1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 82.9M spots, 16.7G bases, 10.3Gb downloads

Design: A pool of ~3000 San Diego copepods were placed in a beaker containing filtered seawater and kept at 20degree C with no food. Everyday for 5 days, water was changed, and a battery of antibiotics added to water in order to reduce marine microbes. After 5 days, animals were filtered into centrifuge tubes and genomic DNA isolated using QIAGEN DNeasy columns.
